Country House Camp is located in the leafy Hampshire countryside, about 1 hour from Heathrow and Gatwick airports and London. Our summer camp accommodates up to 40 girls each session in over 40 acres of grounds & woods with numerous installations, including a tennis court, heated swimming pool, football and golf, as well as a private wood, fields, vegetable garden, swings, trampolines, outdoor playrooms and more.
We accept girls only from 8 – 14 years old, from any nationality. We run small sessions and we want to keep it that way! Our campers get unparalleled attention and a truly unique experience of English life, language and culture, all while having huge amounts of fun with a small group of children the same age. We understand that they are still a tender age, so are quite prepared to give them all the nurture and love they might need away from home.
The children stay inside the houses, in real beds and use real bathrooms. There is great emphasis on well prepared food, with plenty of fruit and vegetables.
All activities take place in English, but there are also leaders with a fair knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian onsite, amongst other languages. We also have many fluent English campers taking part – we can cater for all levels of English. Thus, we make it an absolute priority that English speaking is required at all times. We run 2 English sessions every day and typical activities include sports, music, drama/ performing arts, cookery, adventure sessions, arts & crafts and lots of fun exciting games! The children will also go on excursions to London, the countryside and another external trip to an adventure centre, or trip to a theme park, escape room or similar! Our campers have a busy schedule but they also have plenty of time to relax and let off steam, so they will have enough free time to play in the garden, and after supper, have a whole evening activity programme put on, with everything from talent shows and cinema night, to a camp festival, and SO much more!
At the end of each stay we do something a very special, and quintessentially English: give the children a black tie dinner & party. So while they will spend their days in play clothes most days, for just one night, they will need to get a little bit dressed up for their special party! They put together a great show of all the work they have prepared during the two week stint, and have a truly memorable finale to their stay.
